Milk disaster in China

Experts have found melamine , a nitrogen rich chemical that is usually used in plastics and fertilizers in milk . Melamine is supposed to boost the protein content of milk products that has been diluted . Four babies have died and nearly 13,000 are in hospital after drinking this milk. The Chinese government agency in charge of product quality supervision on Friday issued detailed findings from a comprehensive national check, showing 24 of the 295 batches it tested from the three dairy brands were contaminated.they do this by deliberately watering down the milk to cut costs, then adding in the melamine to boost the protein content and make the product look normal.Because of this Starbucks has stopped serving drinks with milk. not only milk are tested to contain melamine , but all dairy products like yogurts and ice cream as well. This crisis has not only affected teh local markets , but imports of any dairly products from china has been banned by certain countries liek Singapore. Singapore removed Yili brand iced yoghurt and Dutch Lady strawberry flavoured milk from shelves after testing found the chemical in some samples.

Indonesia has a unique annual tradition where thousands of peoples migrated back from city or town to rural area. This unique traditon called mudik, and it happens every year around idul fitri celebration. Most of peoples uses cars or motorcycles beside public transportations for mudik.
What we don't realize is, by using private transportation it increases the number of vehicles on the road. Because of too many vehicles, it causes traffic jam and even worst, accident.

Nicotine

Tobacco plant produces leave (tobacco leave) , which contains a high addictive drug called nicotine.  It is one of the substances that people use to make a cigarette because nicotine is a high  addictive drug. It's the 'hit' for the smoker. That is why there are so many smokers found it hard to quit their habit. There are around 35 million people, who had tried to put their huge effort to quit smoking but only 7 percent of those ,who had made it but then relapse within a couple of days after trying so hard to quit. Tobacco Industry in 1964 has proved that nicotine is a high addictive drug. There are 9 million Americans died because of it. The latest research has shown how nicotine give a side effect for the brain,which is causing behavioral effects. Behavioral effects such as: they don't feel left out anymore and the prevent of withdrawal. There is a certain feeling that they will take it as a secure pleasure called Reward Pathways. It will happen when nicotine is controlling the brain circuitry. Smoker will always continue smoking frequently every single day to preserve the drug's pleasurable and prevent the feeling of insecurity. The  health cause of consuming nicotine in the short period of time is the heart will beat faster and therefore the stomach, kidneys and lungs can't preform maximumly. The health effect for the long term period are chronic bronchitis, laryn, bladder, cervix , emphysema, heart desease and cancer.

GLOBAL WARMING-CAUSES AND EFFECTS

Global warming has become the greatest threat for human beings and its environment. Global warming is the increase in the temperature level in the oceans, earth and the atmosphere. The main cause of global warming is the emission of greenhouse gases . 72% of the totally emitted greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide (CO2), 18% Methane and 9% Nitrous oxide (NOx). Carbon dioxide emissions therefore are the most important cause of global warming.It also causes many hazardous effects to the environment as if this continues further it would increase of temperature on the earth by about 3° to 5° C (34° to 41° Fahrenheit) by the year 2100. Furthermore, researchers have estimated the sea level would rise by at least 25 meters by the year 2100. The also makes it clear that while poor people worldwide will suffer most from the effects of global warming, no person on Earth will escape its consequences. The effects of global warming will be felt in every region and at all levels of society.

Causes of rural-urban migration

In recent decades, cities have grown so large that now about 50% of the Earth's population lives in urban areas. There are several reasons for this occurrence. First is industrialization which is often marked by an increase in the importance of industry to an economy. The increasing industrialization of the nineteenth century resulted in the creation of many factory jobs with their promise of a better material life which often tended to be located in cities. In other words, industrialization leads to greater job opportunities as well as greater varieties of jobs which attracted many people from rural areas. Second is the establishment of schools. There were many schools established to educate the children of the new factory laborers. The promise of a better education persuaded many families to leave farming communities and move to the cities. Health is another major factor. People, especially the elderly are often forced to move to cities where there are doctors and hospitals that can cater for their health needs as urban areas have better basic services as well as other specialist services that aren't found in rural areas. Finally, as the cities grew, people established places of leisure, entertainment, and culture, such as sports stadiums, theaters, and museums. For many people, these facilities made city life appear more interesting than life on the farm and therefore drew them away from rural communities.

Health Issue - Obesity

Obesity has become one of the major threats in today’s world. For example in 2006, 24 percent of adults (aged 16 or over) in England were classified as obese. This represents an overall increase from 15 percent in 1993. Nowadays, even children are suffering from obesity at their early age. There are several main causes of obesity; they are unbalanced diet, unhealthy food such as fast foods, and lack of exercise. Obesity can be because of eating too much food that contains more fats that the body actually need. Fats are deposited in various parts of the bodies, such as neck, arms, stomach and many more. This can cause a person to be affected in different ways. It can affect the physical structure of the person’s body, psychological effect, and being isolated from the society. For instance, one can be ashamed for being obese and it affect their mentality. Their physical structure can change and therefore the society tends to stand away from these people. These people are also prone to various kind of sickness. For example, women may suffer from breast cancer if there are too many fats in their bodies. In conclusion, obesity should be prevented by eating healthy foods and exercise regularly. Education and campaign can be done to educate people in preventing obesity and other health issues.

Traffic In Jakarta

For the last couple of years, traffic jam in Jakarta is growing to some kind of intolerable level. it is happen since the year 2000, traffic jam is increasing very rapidly. This terrible situation caused by the number of vehicle in Jakarta that is insanely increased from time to time. it is said by the government that every single day there are aproximately 2 new cars and 10 new bikes in Jakarta. and therefore they said that if this thing continue, Jakarta will be completely Jam in the year 2014.

            This paragraph will explain how an increase in cars' selling can affect traffic in the same town. As we all know, increase in cars' selling indicates that more people have their own cars. It means there will be more cars in the street. Compare to that, the street doesn't become bigger. Therefore, it will cause a traffic jam. As we all know that know global warming became a problem almost in the whole world. The meaning of global warming itself is the increasing of average temperature of atmosphere, oceans and landmasses of the earth. Therefore most of the time we feel hotter and hotter than before.
The causes of global warming itself are: from the air pollution that come from the industry and also transportation, also from the glass of green house because the glass itself can reflect back the heat from sun light and radiated from the ground then trapping the heat in the earth’s atmosphere, the last but not least is because of deforestation, because our forest being cut down therefore there is no trees that can reduce the pollution and also can make the temperature cooler.
The effects from the global warming itself are:
There will be less ice or the ice will melted in some areas, the weather will become more humid and will result the water evaporate from the oceans, the volume of sea level will raise then it will effect the coastal region especially will change their ecosystem, for our agriculture there will be more insects and plant disease, for our animals and plants will be difficult to adjust or escape from the warming because the land is mostly occupied by humans and for our health there will be more disease that spread.
Therefore I can conclude the cause of global warming itself can cause much effect in this whole world.

Importance of Breakfast to Start The Day

Breakfast is one of the most important meal that should be taken to start the day. Why is it important? Because, having breakfast gives many advantages and benefit for the body. First, it is an energy sources for the body, because the food works as a fuel to make the body works. Second, people will have better concentration while they are studying if they have breakfast in the morning. According to the research that conducted by The School Breakfast Program (SBP), students who have breakfast in the morning, tend to be more active in class and could increase their math and reading score, because of greater memory. Another benefit of having breakfast is also to give the people ability to have a better weight management. For example, a person who had breakfast usually eat the right portion during lunch and do not eat too much. This shows a stable digestion process that the body have because of the breakfast that they consumed before. Divorce

The term divorce means legal termination marriage. Divorce rate in the world are getting higher now. There are several issues that cause several effects in the society. Divorce rate is increasing because nowadays, women are becoming more independent. Women are becoming indepenent because they are able to go for work and earn money for their children. The other cause is that in the gouvernment, to have a permission to divorce are now becoming easier and cheaper, that is why divorce rate are getting higher. As divorce rate increases, there will be more single parent in the society. It causes more welfare should be given by the gouvernment in order to help the single parent. In my opinion, there is no good reason for people for getting divorce. Divorce will only causes more bad effects to the society and also the human beings. It will be hard for the children to live with single parent in their entire life.

In Jakarta, everyday traffic jam occur on the street. The cause of this is because Jakarta got too many people in such a small city. People in Jakarta tend to have more then 1 car in the family, these lead to overpopulated of car that runs on street at the same time. Also car accident is one of the reason, where the street are narrowed down for the time being until the car that got in accident removed from the site, The police usually will take long time to removed it and this will lead to a long hour of traffic jam. In conclusion we can't really avoid the traffic jam because of the overpopulated of car driven at the same time.

Un stands for Ujian Nasional and it is held every year by the Indonesian government for year 6, 9, and 12 students. Usualy, subjects that are tested for year 12 UN include English, Indonesian languange and Mathematics or Economics but this year government of Indonesia had changed the rule by inputting Chemistry, Physics, and Biology for Science students and Sociology, Geography, and Mathematics for Social Science students. The caused of adding more subjects for UN 2008 is to enhance the country's standard of education. While, there are several effects that happened by changing the rule, which are lack preparation for students and teachers, students and teachers stressed as they did not get the sample questions from previous years since this year is the first year for revising the rule of UN, and at the end many students did suicide because they did not pass the UN. In brief, there will be caused and effects for every decisions that everyone takes.
